In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Rotunda and the UVa’s Miller Center have just released the Presidential Recordings of Lyndon B. Johnson Digital Edition.
For now, the fully searchable file consists of three series: War on Poverty, 1964 (edited by Guian McKee); Civil Rights, 1964 (edited by Kent Germany); and Vietnam, 1964-65 (edited by Marc Selverstone and David Coleman), with several conversations (in audio and transcribed) with and about Dr. King.
The file is also accessible through a a timeline view, and every transcript page includes the original audio. More material will be added in coming years.
You can try this file for free right now; just go to this link:

More as it happens in our Great Society,
Cheryl
