When Fiction becomes Reality… um, kind of?

November 9th, 2010

While we try to generally post original content here at Shelfrenewal, I simply could not pass up sharing this article from The Onion with you:  When God Closes A Door, He Opens A Dress”: 30-Plus Actual Books Written By Fictional TV Characters.

Yes, it’s from the wacky folks at The Onion, but, it’s not made up (their AV Club section actually reviews real books, movies and the like, as opposed to their wonderfully snarky but fully fictitious articles.).

If you have these in your collection, this could make a really fun display.  And don’t discount the readership, either – a very good friend of mine is hooked on Castle, and has really enjoyed the books that go along with the series, fully aware that the “author” is a TV character.
